Overview
God never intended priesthood to be a niche ministry for a few; it is the eternal identity of every believer. This session opened an eight-week journey by tracing the priesthood from Eden to Jesus and showing how worship, intercession, and a consecrated lifestyle flow from knowing who we are before Him. We were invited to leave the spectator seat, step into our role as ministers to God, and let our voices carry His heart into the earth.

1. Priesthood runs through the whole Bible
•First priestly act: God sacrificed an animal and clothed Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:21 ).
•First explicit “priest”: Melchizedek blesses Abram with bread and wine.•Corporate invitation: at Sinai God offered Israel a kingdom of priests (Exodus 19 ).
•Because the people drew back, the Aaronic order was established; one priest entered the holy place for all.
2. How priesthood begins
•God initiates; we respond. Moses’ burning-bush moment (Exodus 3 ) models the pattern:
1.Revelation—God opens our eyes.
2.Place—encounter often marks a specific location.
3.Approach—remove sandals; the ground is holy (Exodus 3:5 ).
4.Encounter—see Who He is, then hear what He wants (Exodus 3:7 )

•Priesthood = standing, ministering, and burning before the throne.
•When we behold Him, His heart is unveiled; our intercession releases His will on earth.
•Your voice matters—hell works hard to silence it.

•Power—no rival deity exists.
•Holiness—He is totally other.
•Goodness—steady even in the dark.
•What we think about God determines everything (A.W. Tozer).
•Right vision produces loyalty that cannot be shaken.

5. Priesthood is a lifestyle, not a task
•Old-covenant priests lived differently—garments, food, rhythms.
•New-covenant priests embrace a consecrated life: set apart, not legalistic.
6. Christ, our High Priest, opens the way
•Psalm 110:4 declares Jesus a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.
•He “lives to make intercession” (Hebrews, chapter unnamed), modeling our eternal ministry.
•Beholding Him transforms us into the kind of priests creation is waiting for.
7. Prophetic stewardship within priesthood
•Worshiping priests begin to see and hear.
•Most revelations are invitations to pray, not to broadcast.
•Daniel had to seal words; Ezekiel had to eat the scroll.
•Speaking prematurely breeds pride and pain; secrecy purifies motive.
