Purifying the Prophetic
It was no secret.
They knew the tabernacle was being desecrated.
They knew the sanctuary was being profaned.
The women were there to turn back the battle at the gate,
but the sons of Eli treated them as scared prostitutes.
The violation of the women was an outward sign of the violation and desecration in sanctuary.
Role of the high priest was to Protect the sacred spaces,
and to protect the integrity of the sacrifices.
Eli didn’t take his sons out of their role.
Eli was just as guilty. He knew.
The priests were entrusted to teach the difference between was is holy and what is common.

What does it mean to take your place as a daughter of the gate?
Ask the Lord to cleanse your eyes to see rightly, your lips to speak rightly, your ears to hear rightly, and your feet to walk rightly. Ask Him to teach you what is holy and what is common, give you strength to stand in the office of priest, and release the grace to come out of compromise.
