Renovating the Gates
Overview
Natalie Brumfield shares a prophetic dream that began a deeper study of the gates of Scripture and the voices permitted to influence them. From Isaiah 61 and Nehemiah’s rebuilt gates to Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and the prophetic imagery within the dream, Natalie examines the gate as a place of access, authority, influence, and decision.
This session contrasts pure prophetic voices with corrupted voices, calling the priesthood back to covenant, accountability, the Word of God, and intimacy with Him. God is raising up sons and daughters who will recognize the gates entrusted to them, discern what has been speaking there, and participate with Him in renovating those places so His voice can be heard clearly.

We are called to renovate the gates.
Isaiah 61 presents a people who rebuild ancient ruins, repair former devastations, and restore what has been broken through generations.
Gates are places of access and influence.
Biblically, gates were places of government, judgment, commerce, prophetic proclamation, and public life. Spiritually, gates can exist within homes, families, churches, cities, and even the access points of our own hearts, eyes, and ears.
There is a battle of voices at the gate.
The prophetic voice matters because whoever is permitted to speak at the gate can shape the direction of a people. Pure voices call people back to God and His Word; false voices distort truth, produce confusion, or offer counterfeit peace.
The Word renovates the gate.
Natalie’s dream uses the imagery of black vinyl records, ancient pictures, and living letters to point back to the enduring Word of God. Renovation does not come through creating our own message but through allowing His Word to define what belongs at the gate.
Covenant protects the prophetic.
Throughout the dream, Shabbat, family, marriage, friendship, and accountability stand in contrast to isolated ministry and unchecked spiritual influence. Greater visibility or apparent capacity is not the same as greater authority.
Discernment requires intimacy.
Believers must learn to recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit rather than dismissing what He reveals because another voice is louder, more celebrated, or more familiar.
The gates of Nehemiah become a prophetic picture.
From the Sheep Gate and Water Gate to the Horse Gate, East Gate, and Inspection Gate, each points toward an area God desires to restore: salvation, repentance, the Word, spiritual warfare, the return of Christ, accountability, and more.
